要申請J2的工作許可，必須在J2入境並給發出J2的單位簽完DS-2019後，才能提出辦理申請。申請方式有兩種，線上申辦跟郵寄。線上申辦付款方便，可用credit card，但送交後需要到辦事處按指紋跟拍照，很麻煩，不建議使用線上申請。郵寄以支票付款，只要送資料去之後等卡片下來即可，這方便又簡單。 J2需準備的資料: a completed Form I-765 signed in blue ink by the J-2 visa holder.
