[北美] 曾放棄，現重辦移民簽證(準備讀PhD)
2005年時，我曾用following-to-join的方式申請移民簽證(我爸是主要申請人)
但因為當時還在讀大學，加上辦移民簽證要長期住在美國，每年開銷不少
父親覺得划不來，就在辦理後不久放棄了
2010年10月去辦美國B1簽證時，AIT的人提過我的移民簽證似乎還有得救？
由於今年準備去美國讀博班，就想試著讓移民簽證死而復生
今天就寫信去問AIT了，得到以下回應：
Dear Madam,
Our records indicated our office issued an immigrant visa to your father, Mr.
XXXXXX on Nov. 21, 2005. In order to verify that you have the “
following-to-join” status as the derivative daughter, the original principal
applicant (your father) needs to take one of steps listed below:
1. We must receive notice to that effect forward via the National Visa Center
from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) (e.g., an I-824),
indicating that an you are entitled to “following-to-join” status or;
2. The original principal applicant (your father) brings his both original and
copy of passport, I-551, household registration, marriage certificate and the
official notice from CIS or AIT, which indicates the preference, priority date
and name of the original principal, to AIT and file a follow to join
application for his family members.

請問，內文提到的"derivative daughter"一定是"未成年"才算嗎？
還是只要"原申請者(我爸)"提出當初申請的資料，
證明我是他的女兒、有following-to-join資格即可？
是帶資料，直接去AIT辦理就可以了嗎？
2005年辦簽證時，我已經成年了...
且今天寫信給AIT時，我也和他們提過我的出生年月日、表示我已經成年很久了
是否表示年齡不是問題？@@"
如果移民簽證救回來
我拿到I-20後，還要去AIT辦留學簽證嗎？或是直接用移民簽證即可？
