KLM adds Economy Comfort

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has come up with a "popular" move to improve the
seat comfort for some of its economy class passengers - at a small cost.
The carrier has introduced 'Economy Comfort' on all its intercontinental
flights.
For an extra A$130 from Kuala Lumpur-Amsterdam or A$120 Singapore- Amsterdam,
travellers can buy an Economy Comfort seat in a zone at the front of the
economy class cabin. This section features a number of rows of around 35-40
standard economy seats offering extra leg room and more recline.
The increased pitch is 87.5 centimetres (35 inches) compared with 77.5
centimetres (31 inches), while the increased recline is 17.5 centimetres
(seven inches) as against 8.75 centimetres (3.5 inches) for standard economy
seats.
Economy Comfort is available of KLM's A330, MD11, B777-300, B777-200 and
B747-400 aircraft. -JN
