According to Airbus, this is the largest single commercial aircraft order placed by an airline in Turkey. The aircraft are part of the carrier’s major expansion plans to 2023. Deliveries are scheduled from 2015 to 2022. Pegasus chairman Ali Sabançi said the deal is worth $12 billion at list prices. ATW reported in October that Pegasus Airlines was in negotiations for a large aircraft order. The carrier currently has an all-Boeing fleet of 40 737-800s (plus two older -400s), with an average age of just 3.86 years.
