Well, the hot season in Montreal is of course shorter.
And the highest temperature in Montreal is probably lower than that in Taiwan.
However, keep in mind that from spring to summer, the temperature rebounces
from, for example, negative 20 degrees to positive 30 degrees.
Such a big rebounce of temperature really makes people feel "hot"
although the absolute temperature is not that hight.
In late June and the whole July I will try to stay in my office as much as
I can, to take a full advantage of the free air conditioning.

From late December to middle March, you really need good boots.

It takes more than 6 hours by train from Montreal to Toronro.
The rail rout from Kington to Toronto is along the northern shore of
Lake Ontario. It's an enjoyable experience to take a train.
