How about try to attend some Career Fairs currently being held
all over Ontario?
This is a season of hiring, and there's plenty of career fairs,
at which you can establish numerous contacts with potential employers.
This way you would not have to go through the hassle of HR firms
and pay the expensive consultation fees...

I am at Waterloo by the way, we just had a career fair yesterday,
though i didn't bother going...
