Firstly,welcome aboard.
I full heartly agree with you with your statements.
I've immigrate to Australia since 1992. During the early
days, when there were not so many Chinese around.
The Taiwanese and Chinese seens to be more involved with
the local culture, but after China's recent economic booming.
It start to go down hill from there rapidly.
The new breed of Chinese(and some Taiwanese to a lesser extend)
oversea students and immigrant suddenly refuse to be involved
in western culture and activities, but instead, they decide to
live close to each other and take over some suburbs and call them
their own. And they indeed put their own culture anywhere they are,
moreover, treat people rudely if they didn't follow their culture.
They got rich too quick and the education fail to catch up.
They always try to overcharge everything they sell.
Since the booming, the rental fee for a single room raised from
60~70 dollars (the exchange rate for AUD and NTD is 1:25)
to over 100 dollars. I help my father to run business, and when I
am in China. I always have to reveal to contract many times before
I sign it. Because I can ALWAYS find some catch in it.
Anyway, enough rant XD
