We are looking for students interested in physician-patient communication in
a clinical setting.
As a student recruiter, you will be asked to do two main tasks: 1) consent
and enroll participants at a breast surgeon’s office for the Culture and Shared Decision-Making for
Breast Cancer Treatment (TDM) study (PI Dr. Judy Wang of Georgetown University) and 2)
audio-record participants’ appointments with their physicians.
The goal of this study is to understand whether women from different cultural backgrounds have different needs and concerns
about making decisions for their breast cancer treatment. Student recruiters will be
compensated for their time and efforts. This study is one of the few cross-cultural investigations on
treatment decision making, making it a good opportunity to build on resume and research
experiences.
For every successful enrollment you’ll be paid 60 dollars. For each follow
up appointment,
you’ll be paid 40 dollars.
