所以查了一下DMV，然後被導到http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/
根據CVC (California Vehicle Code) Division 6 Section 12805
(http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?
lawCode=VEH§ionNum=12805.)
(a) The department shall not issue a driver’s license to,
or renew a driver’s license of, any person:
(6) Who holds a valid driver’s license issued by a foreign jurisdiction
unless the license has been surrendered to the department,
or is lost or destroyed.
理論上DMV根本不能發給你，但保險起見最好把這個印出來帶著，
會說超過六個月(或一定時間)的應該是對於"居民"的定義上的差異
另外台灣的國際駕照對許多地方來說(包括加州)只能作為翻譯，正本還是得帶著
