A Research Institute that focuses on industry-relevant research in financial
econometrics, asset securitisation and real estate finance, silver security
and corporate investor responsibility is actively seeking for:
Job Title: Research Assistants
These research assistantships are designed for those with a passion for
doing industry-relevant research and have strong backgrounds in finance,
statistics, economics and information systems. Candidates with an interest
to pursue further graduate studies are particularly encouraged to apply.
Role:
The selected graduates will be appointed as full-time Research Assistants
for a period of one year.
Each research assistant is expected to spend no less than two-third of
his/her time working on problems of direct interest to the research group,
and up to one-third of his/her time on attending financial training
programmes under the Financial Industry Competency Scheme and related
professional development activities such as research seminars.
Requirements:
Recent graduates who graduated on or after June 2008 are invited to apply
for research assistantships directly related to the financial industry. This
is a unique opportunity for those graduates who want to enhance your
competitiveness in today's financial industry and explore the possibility of
postgraduate studies in the future.
To satisfy the requirements of the Finance Graduate Immersion Programme
(FGIP) scheme, graduate trainees need to be:
1. Singaporeans or PRs.
2. Recent graduates from the universities (overseas or local; undergraduate
or postgraduate studies) and polytechnics.
3. Trainees must not have worked for more than one year; and must not be
current employees of the Financial Institution or Research Institute.
Key Competencies:
-Programming of test code and market data cleansing
-Exploratory statistical analysis /hypothesis testing
-Literature research and fact-checking
