[北美] DS-2019/J1 相關規定改了?

之前我對於 DS-2019 / J1 的認知如下 (於2011年辦下簽證且入境,出境,又入境後回台) 1. 必須在 DS-2019 生效起始前 "(到AIT)辦簽證" 2. 只能在 DS-2019 生效前 30 天"開始"入境 3. 若是有"課程開學日"的前提下，必須要在 DS-2019 生效前入境 4. 若無，則晚一點入境*是可以被接受的，只是在入境時，移民官可能會詢問關於晚入境的問題: you may not enter the U.S. more than 30 days prior to the begin date on your DS-2019 (item #3) and not later than 15 days after the begin date http://internationalcenter.umich.edu/immig/jvisa/j_important.html (此為板友分享之UMich網頁，非官方網頁，而我當時僅被美國校方告知前後30天) 不知以上理解是否有誤? 根據 A. #1HZd4R7J (PhD) 申請千里馬至Boston MGH研習一年的博士生收到的DS2019日期是2013/08/01~2014/07/31 照其今年初也有去AIT申請J1簽證的兩位同學說， AIT的人強調第一次申辦者必須在DS2019日期「前」一個月內入境美國，最終結果: 去AIT申請簽證，出發日期比2019表上晚的話， AIT根本不給辦，只讓我把流程跑完，接下來要等對方改日期或我傳真我比2019日期還要早的機票給他們看，AIT才會把護照還我。 B. #1HjT1I53 (PhD) 的分享起始日期是9/1 機票在申請簽證前已經買好，是9/5 資料審查時，審查人員似乎有和機票系統連線直接告訴入境日期不得晚於起始日期並在資料上做一些註記 AIT要求其請學校改SEVIS的起始日期更改後，直接email通知AIT AIT確認後，會把簽證寄來 ============ 照幾個案例來看可能更改為 1. 第一次申請/使用J1者入境者，不能延後入境 (我假設他們都不是因為有固定課程開學日的問題) 2. 所有 J1 持有者均不得延後入境? 另外，除了主動秀機票給簽證官看，AIT應該不可能知道申請者買的機票日期吧@@" 十分好奇，還沒有仔細去翻條文，先過來看看是不是有其他情況? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.167.83.199

以下補充官方說明 http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1267.html#issued When Can I Travel to the U.S.? DHS regulation requires that all beginning (initial) J exchange visitors, and J-2 spouse and dependents enter the U.S. 30 days or less in advance of the applicant's program start date as shown on the Form DS-2019. The 30-day limitation does not apply to current exchange participants who are returning to continue with their exchange program.
