Many international applications are disqualified because students have been unable to submit official GRE general and official GRE physics subject test scores. TOEFL As English is the language of instruction at UBC, international students who have studied in non-English speaking countries are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. Students from English-speaking countries are exempted from this requirement (e.g. Great Britian, Australia, United Stated of America, to name a few). Official TOEFL test results, sent to this office by the testing institution, are required. Photocopies and examinee's copies of TOEFL test results will NOT be accepted. Please note that failure to submit an official TOEFL test score will disqualify your application. UBC requires that applicants achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 550.
