About our Location: On Willard Avenue near River Road, we are a 12-minute
walk from the Friendship Heights Metro on the Red Line, with the T2 MetroBus
and the 23 RideOn bus in front of the house. We are an easy metro ride into
DC, one mile from AU Law School, 5 miles to Georgetown University, and close
to 3 different Beltway exits. We're minutes away from Whole Foods, Giant,
Safeway, CVS. Shop with us at Nordstrom Rack, Sephora, DSW, J. Crew,
Anthropologie, Banana Republic, and H+M. Or we can eat at Chad's, Maggiano's,
Chipotle, or P.F. Chang's. Outdoorsy? Run on the Capital Crescent trail,
check out the cherry blossoms in Kenwood, or drive to Great Falls in no time!
Move in between April 27 and May 1 (first 2 photos): $810/month corner room
with 2 windows on the south and west sides of the house, hardwood floors and
walk-in closet on the top floor. Approximate dimensions are 12'-13' x 14'-15'
(there is a little foyer area, so it depends where you begin measuring) with
4' wide by 5' deep closet. As pictured, the depth of the closet allows for
some shelving for extra storage, and there is a high ceiling.
Move in between May 1 and May 11 (last 4 photos): $790/month cozy sunny
corner room with 2 windows on the north and west sides of the house, with
hardwood floors and closet. Approximate dimensions of the room are 11.5'x10'.
It is the smallest of the 5 bedrooms in the house, but still has plenty of
room for a full size bed, desk, dresser, and bookcase.
Both rooms come unfurnished, and you will share a bathroom with two other
housemates.
About our house: Spacious 5-bedroom, 3-bath home with hardwood floors
throughout, fireplace, sunroom, spacious and newly renovated kitchen with
granite countertops, dishwasher and gas stove, and backyard with a deck.
Backyard leads to walking trails and park, and we are a short distance from
the Capital Crescent Trail. High-speed wireless internet, cable + HBO (a must
for Boardwalk Empire/Game of Thrones/True Blood fans). Large living and
dining room -- great for entertaining. Full size W+D in the basement and lots
of storage space.
About us: We are building a house of 20-something social-minded professionals
studying and working in government and real estate (and whatever you may
bring to the table!). We are looking for roommates who we consider our
friends, and hope to have weekly or bi-weekly roommate nights where we cook
together, go out for drinks, or find something fun to do (like painting and
wine in Dupont!). Although we have own own friends, too, we want to come home
to a friendly, warm house. We can't wait to entertain and introduce all of
our friends. All 5 of the ladies who resided in the house the past year are
moving out for jobs in other cities, out-of-state grad school, buying a
house, etc.
About you: You are a young professional/grad student who is respectful,
dependable, easygoing, and LGBT friendly. You will share responsibilities for
upkeep and cleaning -- we're not OCD but like to come home to a clean house.
Additionally, you must possess one or more of the following talents:
Pinterest execution expertise, spoken word/slam poetry skills, encyclopedic
knowledge of cult movies, Iron Chef culinary ability, adding up the change in
your purse really fast, swinging a kettlebell like a boss, and an excellent
sense of humor...obviously.
