Germany : EVA Air optimizes flight planning with Lido/Flight
Lufthansa Systems today announced that EVA Airways has implemented its flight
planning solution, Lido/Flight, enabling the Taiwanese carrier to benefit
from more efficient processes and lower costs. Lido/Flight calculates optimal
flight routes based on various factors and can reduce fuel costs.
Lufthansa Systems Lido/Flight is a state of the art tool for dispatchers and
pilots. At the same time, EVA Air will benefit from an increased
competitiveness. EVA Air is delighted to be able to use one of the leading IT
solutions for route planning.
Thanks to the cutting-edge technology, Lido/Flight covers all aspects of
flight planning and provides dispatchers with many optimization options
regarding flight time, fuel consumption or costs of each flight. Taking into
account the latest flight related data such as weather conditions, total
weight and air traffic situation, Lido/Flight calculates the suitable routes
for each flight from all available options.
EVA Air is an important new customer for us in the Asia/Pacific region. Our
IT solution for optimum flight planning will make a significant contribution
