[紀錄片+Social] 本週六 (4/14) "Almost Home: Taiwan" Sneak preview + Social 新銳台美人導演/製作人/演員 Victoria Linchong 這星期六（4/14）下午，將在 Central Square的 Community Art Center ，與大波士頓地區的台灣/台美人學生以及同鄉分享，拍攝接近完成的紀錄片“Almost Home: Taiwan”。 “Almost Home: Taiwan” 由導演 Victoria 籌拍數年，透過一段與家人一同探訪睽別已久的台灣的旅程，以台美人的角度，試圖理解這個島嶼在過去數十年間文化、政治、社會上，種種有形無形的制度乃至氛圍的轉變，同時也是導演自身追尋自我認同的旅程。本片仍於最後製作階段，屆時導演將分享部分紀錄片的段落，籌劃拍攝的過程，以及本片未來規劃。會場並準備有，台美人/哈佛校友 Joanne Chang 創業經營的 “Flour” 烘焙小點心。歡迎大家在輕鬆的氣氛中，一起分享導演拍攝本紀錄片的點滴，同時也與 Taiwanese Community的老朋友新朋友相聚。時間: 4/14 (星期六)，3-5pm 地點: Community Art Center, 119 Windsor Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139 本活動由 Formosan Association for Public Affairs - Young Professionals Group (FAPA-YPG) 主辦，關於導演，本紀錄片，以及活動交通方式等詳細資訊，請至: https://www.facebook.com/events/210005085765693/ ------------------------------ Victoria Linchong, a Taiwanese-American actress, writer, producer, and director, will talk about her latest documentary project, Almost Home: Taiwan at Community Art Center in Central Square this Saturday, 4/14. Almost Home: Taiwan takes viewers on a tour of Taiwan, as seen through the eyes of a handful of Taiwanese who have survived decades of social and political change. Weaving together the reunion of the filmmaker’s family after 22 years, archival footage, and on-the-street interviews in Taiwan and America, Almost Home: Taiwan shines a light on the history and culture of an island long at the center of political debate. Victoria will share clips from her work in progress, her filmmaking experience so far, and her future plans for the film. Baked goods from Flour Bakery will be served.
