If you want to visit Montreal from New York city,
a good choice of transportation is Amtrak.
According to Amtrak,
The section from Albany to Montreal is the most scenic rail line in the U.S.
Moreover, the train, with spacious room, is much more comfortable than the bus,
while it is not expensive at all.
It is easy to go to anywhere in Montreal from the train station.
