[新聞] 臉書祖克柏 自己吃的自己宰

臉書(Facebook)創辦人祖克柏(Mark
Zuckerberg)據稱只吃自己宰殺的動物，藉此
對犧牲生命而讓他能存活的生物表示尊敬。
「財星」(Fortune)雜誌26日報導，在經
營臉書之外的閒暇時間，這位27歲的億萬富翁
力行一系列「個人挑戰」，這種飲食療法是他
的最新挑戰。祖克柏每年都會立下個人挑戰，
先前的目標包括學中文和打領帶。
報導指出，祖克柏在談到改吃自己宰殺的
肉品時說，他現在吃的食物更健康。在永續農
業和飼養動物方面，他學到很多。以前每天吃
好東西，很容易把食物視為理所當然。
根據報導，一名住得離祖克柏很近的矽谷
廚師為他介紹當地農夫，並指導他如何宰殺雞
、豬和羊。祖克柏第一次宰的是一隻龍蝦，方
法是放到滾水裡。
報導說，如果祖克柏宰殺更大型的動物，
隨後會交給屠夫處理，再把處理好的肉拿回來
，由他和女友料理。
「財星」引述祖克柏的電子郵件：因為他
只吃自己宰殺的動物，所以今年基本上他變成
了素食主義者。他認為很多人都忘了，為了自
己要吃肉，有動物會因此死去。所以他的目標
是不讓自己忘記這件事，並對所有的事物感恩
。

正如j114賢者所說，我覺得這篇挺正面，也很符合素食的想法
身邊很多朋友，看到一隻死老鼠就大驚小怪
但卻又天天大啖生靈血肉而引以為樂
哪個桌上的魚肉，不是生命？不是宰殺？
所以才分享這篇，希望吃肉的朋友知道，桌上的佳餚
都是屍體，都是剝奪生靈的性命而來的啊

This year, my personal challenge is
around being thankful for the food I
have to eat. I think many people forget
that a living being has to die for you
to eat meat, so my goal revolves around
not letting myself forget that and
being thankful for what I have. This
year I've basically become a vegetarian
since the only meat I'm eating is from
animals I've killed myself. So far,
this has been a good experience. I'm
eating a lot healthier foods and I've
learned a lot about sustainable farming
and raising of animals.
I started thinking about this last year
when I had a pig roast at my house. A
bunch of people told me that even
though they loved eating pork, they
really didn't want to think about the
fact that the pig used to be alive.
That just seemed irresponsible to me. I
don't have an issue with anything
people choose to eat, but I do think
they should take responsibility and be
thankful for what they eat rather than
trying to ignore where it came from.
