大家最近應有耳聞中國玉林狗肉節一事，在下奶蛋素四年半快五年，明白吃素的人希望最好是都別吃肉，但只能說救得一種是一種吧！連人類最好的朋友都遭難了(默）請大家幫忙連署，但是自發的，絕不強迫。中國狗肉節當天有個大媽一口氣買了一百隻狗: http://goo.gl/v8MFX3 下面是國際人道協會的聲明和請願書全文中英對照翻譯，方便欲連署的版友們參照。略盡棉力，僅此向在對岸散盡家財，滿腔熱血救狗的楊曉雲大媽致敬，在我看來雖然是又瘋又傻（再繼續這樣買狗養狗，哪天生活撐不下去了，該怎麼辦？），但是令人感動。可以的話，我也想如此堅強的守護自己的一念善心。翻譯若有誤，也請不吝指正。國際人道協會連署網頁：https://goo.gl/xHbr2A The Festival of Cruelty 殘酷的節日 Thousands of dogs, many of them stolen pets, are captured and transported over long distances under horrific conditions to Yulin, a city in China’s Guangxi province. There, they’re held in crowded cages without food or water until they are killed. Often, they are beaten and their throats are slit in front of other terrified animals. Most Chinese citizens reject this practice, and we’re committed to supporting them in changing their laws. 數千隻狗，很多是偷來的寵物，不但被抓，且在可怕的環境條件下從遠方運到位於中國廣西省的玉林市。在那裡，牠們被關在擁擠的籠子裡，沒有食物或水，直到被宰殺。牠們通常被打並且在其他害怕的狗群面前被割開咽喉。大部分的中國人民反對這個活動，而且我們致力於支持他們改變他們的法律。 Last year, thanks to overwhelming international pressure, Yulin authorities announced that they would not support the festival. The result was a subdued event and fewer dogs slaughtered. More recently, the authorities have claimed that the festival wouldn’t happen this year, but preparations for a mass dog slaughter are underway despite this statement. 去年，歸功於壓倒性的國際輿論，玉林的官方當局宣佈將不會支持這個節日，促使其成為一個被抑制的事件，且較少的狗被宰殺。最近，官方當局聲稱今年將不會慶祝這個節日，但是無視於這份聲明，大規模屠殺狗的準備動作正在進行中。請願書 I’m writing to respectfully urge you to end the mass slaughter and consumption of dogs for the summer solstice event commonly known as the “Dog Meat Festival” to be held on June 22 in Yulin. I was shocked to learn that thousands of dogs, many of them stolen pets, are due to be slaughtered for dog meat hotpot that will be served during the event. Not only will the dogs suffer enormously during the arduous and long journey to Yulin, they will then be subjected to being beaten and ultimately slaughtered whilst fully conscious. 我恭敬的要求您結束六月二十二日夏至時在玉林所舉辦的「狗肉節」--對狗屠殺和食用的活動。我為數千隻狗，很多是偷來的寵物，預定在這個節日被殺死，煮成狗肉火鍋而感到震驚。這些狗不僅在艱鉅且漫長的運送過程中受到莫大的折磨，牠們還注定要被打，且最終在完全神智清醒之下被宰殺。 In addition to animal welfare concerns the mass consumption of dogs in a short period of time also threatens the health and safety of the public by potentially spreading rabies, a horrifying disease that is already an ongoing problem in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 除了對動物福利的關切之外，在短時間內食用大量的狗肉，亦使可能擴散的狂犬病（在廣西壯族自治區已造成問題的駭人疾病）對大眾的健康和安全造成威脅。 Please do the right thing and end the event for good.
